JAKARTA, Investortrust.id — Danantara has fully raised Rp 50 trillion, equal to $3 billion, from its inaugural Patriot Bond issuance, with 46 of Indonesia’s wealthiest business leaders subscribing to the state-backed financing instrument. The funds will be allocated to waste-to-energy projects, marking a major step in advancing sustainable infrastructure.
CEO of Badan Pengelola Investasi Daya Anagata Nusantara, or BPI Danantara, Rosan Perkasa Roeslani said on Wednesday, Oct 1, 2025, that the Patriot Bond reached its target amount and was fully absorbed by local entrepreneurs.
"Alhamdulillah, we have already met the target of Rp 50 trillion. It is fully subscribed," Rosan told reporters at the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry in Jakarta.

He explained that the proceeds would be injected into waste-to-energy or Pengelolaan Sampah Menjadi Energi Listrik (PSEL) projects. "The funds will be used for waste-to-energy, our program. The money is ready, already secured and received," he added.
According to Rosan, the next step will be the tender process to execute PSEL projects, targeted to begin at the end of October 2025. "We hope to start the tender process by the end of October. But for Patriot Bond, that phase is complete," he said.
A leaked list circulating on social media showed 46 business magnates participating in the bond purchase, with individual commitments ranging from Rp 3 trillion down to Rp 275 billion. Rosan declined to comment on the leak, reiterating only that Danantara had collected around Rp 50 trillion from local conglomerates.
Among the largest subscribers, each committing Rp 3 trillion, were Anthoni Salim of Salim Group, Prajogo Pangestu of Barito Pacific Group, Sugianto Kusuma (Aguan) of Agung Sedayu Group, and Franky Widjaja of Sinar Mas Group. Garibaldi Thohir and Edwin Soeryadjaya of Adaro and Saratoga Group, Budi Hartono of Djarum Group, Low Tuck Kwong of Bayan Resources, and Prijono Sugiarto of Astra Group were also reported in the Rp 3 trillion tier.
Tomy Winata of Artha Graha reportedly subscribed Rp 1.6 trillion, while James Riady of Lippo Group, Hilmi Panigoro of Medco Group, Sukanto Tanoto of Royal Golden Eagle, and Eddy Sariaatmadja of Emtek Group each committed Rp 1.5 trillion.
Other names cited with Rp 1 trillion commitments included Dato Tahir of Mayapada Group, Martua Sitorus, Peter Sondakh of Rajawali Corp, Bachtiar Karim of Musim Mas, and Jogi Hendra Atmadja of Mayora Group.
The Patriot Bond is Danantara’s debut debt issuance, structured in two series with maturities of five and seven years, offering a 2 percent coupon. It is designed to mobilize domestic private capital into strategic infrastructure under Indonesia’s sustainable development agenda.
