MAGELANG, Investortrust.id — Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, known also as AHY, has emphasized the importance of close cooperation between the government and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, or Kadin, in advancing national priority agendas.
Speaking at the Kadin Retreat 2025 in Magelang on Saturday, Aug 9, 2025, AHY outlined the government’s vision of achieving high economic growth, equitable prosperity across the archipelago, and national resilience in food, energy, and water, while improving human capital through education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation.
“Infrastructure is the backbone of national growth and development,” AHY said, as quoted by state news agency Antara. He encouraged Kadin to identify and capitalize on infrastructure and regional development opportunities over the next five to ten years through public–private partnerships. Strong collaboration, he noted, could generate jobs and deliver people-oriented physical development.
“Kadin has the capacity, experience, and networks—both domestically and internationally—to bring in investment,” he added.
Kadin Chairman Anindya Novyan Bakrie affirmed the organization’s commitment to strengthening national competitiveness by enhancing infrastructure. In a session titled Infrastructure Resilience as a Pillar of National Resilience and Equitable Prosperity, he described robust infrastructure as a critical foundation for trade and investment growth.
Anindya praised the government’s achievement of 5.12% GDP growth in the second quarter of 2025. “With strong infrastructure, we can push trade and investment even further. Ultimately, all of this is for the welfare of the wider community, especially job creation,” he said.
He underscored Kadin’s readiness to work with both central and regional governments to harness infrastructure opportunities, seeing them not only as essential support for the economy but also as promising investment avenues.
Anindya also highlighted the government’s People’s Business Credit (KUR) program for building decent housing as a positive step to boost business enthusiasm. “Thank you, Mr. Coordinating Minister. Kadin is ready not only at the national level but also at provincial and district or city levels to support government programs under the Indonesia Incorporated framework,” he concluded.
