Gregory Hendra Lembong to Succeed Jahja Setiaatmadja as BCA President Director
JAKARTA, Investortrust.id – PT Bank Central Asia Tbk, or BBCA, Indonesia’s largest private bank, has announced upcoming changes to its Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors, to be formalized during the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) on March 13, 2025.
According to a disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Thursday, Feb. 13, Jahja Setiaatmadja, who has led BCA as President Director for over a decade, will be nominated as President Commissioner.
Gregory Hendra Lembong to Lead BCA
Setiaatmadja’s successor will be Gregory Hendra Lembong, who is set to assume the role of President Director. Meanwhile, John Kosasih, currently a Director at BCA, has been proposed as the new Deputy President Director.
Additionally, Hendra Tanumihardja, currently serving as Head of Banking Transaction Solutions Development at BCA, has been nominated as a new member of the board of directors.
The AGMS will also decide on the allocation of BCA’s net profit for the 2024 fiscal year, determining portions for reserves, dividend distribution, and retained earnings.
Gregory Hendra Lembong: A Veteran in Banking and Fintech
With over 30 years of experience in the banking industry, Gregory Hendra Lembong brings extensive leadership expertise in both Indonesian and international financial markets.
Before joining BCA, he served as Chief Transformation Officer at CIMB Niaga from 2019, overseeing transformation and strategic initiatives across all units. He also held various leadership roles at CIMB Group Malaysia, including Chief Fintech Officer (2018), CEO of Group Transaction Banking (2016-2018), and Chief of Transaction Banking at CIMB Niaga (2013-2018).
Gregory's international experience includes senior roles at major global financial institutions:
- J.P. Morgan Asia-Pacific, Singapore (2010-2013) – Regional Head of Transaction Services (cash, liquidity, FX)
- Deutsche Bank, London (2009-2010) – Global COO & Head of Business Development
- Citibank (1994-2009) – Various leadership roles in banking and finance
His expertise spans transformation strategy, transaction banking, global trade finance, corporate cash management, and product solution management.
Gregory holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington and a Master of Science in Engineering Economic Systems from Stanford University in the United States.
With his extensive experience in digital banking, financial technology, and strategic transformation, his leadership at BCA is expected to further drive innovation and strengthen the bank’s position in Indonesia’s banking sector.
