JAKARTA, Investortrust.id — Astra Financial, the financial services division of Indonesian conglomerate PT Astra International Tbk, is targeting up to Rp 2 trillion ($125.78 million) in automotive financing during the upcoming GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026.
Returning as the event's Platinum Financial Partner for the eighth consecutive year, the financial giant plans to capture between 4,000 and 4,500 vehicle booking orders (SPK) as domestic consumer sentiment in Southeast Asia's largest auto market continues to recover.
Astra Financial's core financing units, Astra Credit Companies (ACC) and Toyota Astra Finance (TAF), generated Rp 29 trillion ($1.82 billion) in four-wheeler financing from January to May 2026—representing a dominant 29.2% share of Indonesia's total auto lending market. A strong performance at GIIAS will serve as a critical barometer for domestic private consumption, auto sales growth, and retail loan expansion for the second half of the year.
Strategic Event Timeline and Regional Footprint
The main flagship exhibition of GIIAS 2026 will run from July 30 to August 9, 2026, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in BSD City, Tangerang. Following the capital region showcase, Astra Financial will extend its promotional push through the GIIAS The Series regional circuit across key provincial hubs, including Surabaya, Semarang, and Bandung.
Speaking at a media briefing in Jakarta on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, Tan Chian Hok, Project Director for ACC-TAF GIIAS 2026 and Chief Marketing and Sales Officer at ACC, emphasized the company's regional commitment. "Given current market conditions, we hope to finance 4,000 to 4,500 vehicle booking orders with a total financing value of Rp 1.8 trillion to Rp 2 trillion," Hok stated to press members.
Aggressive Promotional Framework Across Business Units
To achieve its target, ACC and TAF are offering car financing interest rates starting at 2.99% for one to three-year tenors, covering sedans, SUVs, MPVs, hybrid vehicles, and electric vehicles. The group is also partnering with OLXmobbi as its Official Trade-In Partner, offering vehicle trade-in cashbacks reaching up to Rp 15 million ($943.39).
Co-Project Director for ACC-TAF GIIAS 2026 and TAF Sales Director Tan Justin Darsono highlighted the cross-entity integration during the Wednesday press gathering, noting that bundled financial incentives through their "Tebus Hemat" program allow consumers to access savings worth up to Rp 6.9 million ($433.96) alongside digital banking and insurance products.
Motorcycle financing arm FIFGROUP is supporting Honda two-wheeler sales with installment discounts yielding up to Rp 10.2 million ($641.51) in benefits, alongside coverage from Asuransi Astra and Astra Life. Digital entities Bank Saqu and AstraPay are providing seamless QRIS payment options, booking fee cashbacks, and high-yield savings products to capture tech-savvy auto buyers throughout the 11-day event.
