Erick Thohir Appoints Major General Novi Helmy Prasetya as Bulog CEO
JAKARTA, investortrust.id – Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir has reshuffled the leadership of Perum Bulog, a state-owned food logistics agency managing rice reserves and national food security, appointing Major General Novi Helmy Prasetya as the company’s new president director, replacing Wahyu Suparyono.
The appointment is outlined in Ministerial Decree No. SK-30/MBU/02/2025, issued on Feb 7, 2025, which also ends the tenure of Iryanto Hutagaol as Bulog’s finance director. "During their tenure, both have made significant contributions to the advancement of Perum Bulog," the company stated in an official announcement on Saturday, Feb 8, 2025.
Novi Helmy Prasetya, who previously served as Territorial Assistant to the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), will now lead Perum Bulog alongside newly appointed finance director Hendra Susanto.
Hendra Susanto, before assuming his new role, served as Deputy Chairman of Indonesia’s Supreme Audit Agency (BPK), bringing financial oversight expertise to Bulog’s leadership.
Leadership Overhaul at Bulog
In addition to the board-level changes, the composition of Perum Bulog’s supervisory board has also been revised. According to Ministerial Decree No. SK-29/MBU/02/2025, issued on the same day, Wicipto Setiadi has been replaced by Verdianto Iskandar Bitticaca. A retired police general, Verdianto previously served as Chief of Operations at the Indonesian National Police.
"Perum Bulog expresses gratitude for the dedication and service of Wahyu Suparyono and Iryanto Hutagaol during their tenure, and welcomes the new leadership under Major General TNI Novi Helmy Prasetya and finance director Hendra Susanto," the company’s statement added.
The leadership transition at Bulog is expected to reinforce the company’s role in ensuring national food security, particularly in managing rice reserves and optimizing Indonesia’s food logistics infrastructure.
