Danantara Housing Expo Targets 200,000 Units as Prabowo Attends

JAKARTA, Investortrust.id — Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to attend the Danantara Housing Expo 2026, scheduled for Aug. 27–30 at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE) in Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), North Jakarta, state officials said Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026.

"God willing, the President will attend the Danantara Housing Expo, as this forms an integral part of the government's flagship program to provide three million housing units to the Indonesian public," said Dony Oskaria, Chief Operating Officer of Danantara, speaking at Wisma Danantara in Jakarta.

The multi-day exhibition highlights Southeast Asia's largest economy navigating structural shifts in consumer access to primary assets. By deploying unified state-backed credit mechanisms, the administration seeks to leverage housing development as a counter-cyclical growth engine, stimulating downstream industrial manufacturing while addressing a persistent national housing deficit.

Beyond direct property sales, the event is designed to mobilize an integrated residential ecosystem capable of generating broad economic multiplier effects across 185 allied domestic industries, alongside introducing revised credit terms for prospective buyers.

"The event features an expansive range of residential inventory and developer participation, alongside standardized financing frameworks and direct consumer incentives," Dony said.

To incentivize traffic, organizers will offer promotional prize draws, including complimentary single-family homes and passenger vehicles.

Housing and Urban Development Minister Maruarar Sirait confirmed the participation of key supply-chain entities, including three prominent subsidized-housing developers—Pesona Kahuripan Group, PT Kawah Anugrah Properti, and PT Dwiwahana Delta Megah—each of which recently concluded mass mortgage contract signings under executive supervision.

The initiative also incorporates the administration's nationwide gentingisasi (roofing modernization) policy under the broader Clean, Safe, Healthy, and Beautiful (ASRI) urban revitalization initiative.

"We recently convened with regional leaders, including the Regent of Majalengka, to establish standardized supply channels for regional clay tile manufacturers," Maruarar said. "Small and medium-sized producers must adhere to strict quality standards to ensure long-term structural integrity and consumer safety."

Designed as a single-point access platform for the nation's housing sector, the expo convenes state-owned real estate firms, member institutions of the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara), private developers, and auxiliary industrial manufacturers.

The exhibition will list more than 200,000 housing units across the archipelago, targeting low-income families eligible for subsidized programs alongside middle-income buyers. Participating state lenders will provide specialized Home Ownership Credit (KPR) arrangements featuring down payments starting at 1%, fixed interest rates starting at 2.75%, and repayment terms extending up to 30 years, alongside step-up installment structures.
